Lee “DJ Slick” Rivera is something of an anomaly in music. An awesome example of what it takes to truly be successful. With a steadfast work ethic, an extensive musical library, and the willingness to pursue all realms of music with no restraints enables him to create a mix like none other. Slick is notorious for mixing bachata, salsa, meringue, hip hop, R&B and more all in the same night.
DJ Slick made much of his first impression on listeners at the age of 14. DJ Bigdawg and DJ Who got him his start with TeenNite and adult clubs. Possessing such great talents at such a young age, DJ Slick was named “The Teen Nite King” for at least 5 years. As he got older he began obtaining more club gigs and he was in his first official Coalition Buck City DJs.
DJ Slick has had the privilege of working with several industry artists, such as lil boosie, webbie, flo-rida, t-pain, plies, and much more in efforts to brand his name and image, which he has successfully done. In 2008, DJ Slick in conjunction with Co-Founder DJ Sapo, DJ NellyNell, and his promotional team Tawag Promotions, created Incredible Mixtape DJs, a Mixtape DJ crew. Currently DJ Slick is working on various mixtapes, club gigs, and concert events in continuous efforts of keeping his name in the public’s eye. As a Boost Mobile DJ and the Director of the Florida Boost Mobile DJs, DJ Slick is continuing to elevate his success.
Many people feel that DJ Slick should be content with the success that he has achieved, but Slick has a bigger picture in his mind, and he is building his brand according to those goals. Slick plans to be on television and travel the world, and he is definitely on the right path to surpass his peers.
