Trigger Twins: Introduce the world to who you are.
Artist: I go by the name "Amiyj" (Ah-Meej)
What made you get into music?
Artist: There was no real defining moment, I've been creating music for as long as I remember.
Trigger Twins: How would you describe your style of music?
Artist: Extremely genuine, I take pride in articulating how I feel poetically over any beat. Nine times out of ten I'm just conveying how I feel about a particular subject when I create my music.
Trigger Twins: With the way the Industry is, what would you say is missing to improve it?
Artist: Without a doubt I feel individualism is what's missing. It seems like the industry would rather promote a fad or gimmick rather than having people be themselves.
Trigger Twins: What do you think DJs need to improve on to make their relationship with Artist easier?
Artist: That's easy…Make their decision on what they play based on the music rather than how much money an artist has. It's a catch 22 cause the artists that can afford to pay them are already where they need to be.
Trigger Twins: Who are some of your favorite Independent/Mainstream DJs
Artist: My favorite independent artist is Joe Budden not sure if he's still considered since Slaughter House signed that deal with Shady but definitely him "Beanie Sigel" and "T.I."
Trigger Twins: What do you think Independent Artist are lacking to reach the next level?
Artist: That's simple "Money" and "Promotion" I can make the greatest song in the world but if I don't have the capital or connections to get it heard it's sort of like it's falling on deaf ears. How hot can it be if no one hears it.
Trigger Twins: What project(s) are you currently working on?
Artist: I'm currently just making music, I recently finished my mixture "True Story" which I feel is a very creative body of work.
Trigger Twins: What are your goals in this Industry?
Artist: My goal is to be able to consistently make music that is received by the people, I don't want to be like or loved I just want to be understood and the rest will take care of itself.
Trigger Twins: What will be the sign you see/feel to know you’re on your way to the top?
Artist: When I perform at a large venue at least over 5,000 people and the crowd knows the words.
Trigger Twins: Where can the Readers hear more of your music?
Artist: These two sites are the best to catch my music www.famishenterprises.com and http://www.jango.com/music/Amiyj
Trigger Twins: Do you have any last words or shout outs to give?
Artist: Yeah Shout out to Tawag, and anyone who supports my music.
